UJ celebrates firt shcool-based BEd foundation phase graduates

The University of Johannesburg's Faculty of Education has celebrated a major milestone through the graduation of its first cohort from the Institution's school-based Bachelor of Education programme.

The innovative qualification is designed for aspiring Foundation Phase teachers and combines online coursework with structured in-school training,
where students are placed in parter schools to help them gain hands-on experience while studying.

Professor Sarita Ramsaroop, from the Department of Childhood Education has praised the group’s role in shaping the programme.
