The tablets, distributed through the Kliptown Youth Program, include curriculum content, past papers, and tests, and learners can take them home to complete homework.
Students use the devices to improve performance in subjects like maths while the program tracks progress and helps them develop digital skills needed for tomorrow’s job market.

Karabo Poppy turns art and design experience into a cultural children’s book

Karabo Poppy used her experience as a graphic designer and street artist to create a children’s book that blends story, pictures and culture.
She illustrated Hugged by the Night, her first children’s book written by Harold Green III, turning Green's poem into comforting images for young readers.
Poppy chose colors and designed the idea of night to help soothe children, and Chronicle Books invited her to join the project, giving her freedom to create the visuals in her own style:
