The event connects the historic significance of youth day with education, career development, and community upliftment.

Various workshops and panel discussions were presented by industry experts throughout the day with a focus on Stem, maritime industries, agriculture, tourism, sport, and the built environment.

Government ready to implement its renewable energy plan

Government says it is ready to implement the South African Renewable Energy Master Plan as part of its energy policy on electricity development.

The aim of the plan is to fast-track the procurement of renewable energy, ensuring reliable energy planning and expanding the electricity grid to accommodate new projects.

The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, revealed this in Cape Town on the third day of the Africa Energy Forum.

SAA ranked among the top 100 airlines in the world

South African Airways has been ranked among the top 100 airlines in the world, continuing its upward trajectory in the Skytrax Airline Awards.

The ranking is based on the world’s largest, annual airline passenger satisfaction survey, which is not restricted to a pre-selected choice of airline.

SAA ranked 67th on the list, an improvement from 69th position in 2024.
Over 325 airlines were included in the 2025 survey

The airline says it has continued to consolidate, fine-tune routes, improve customer service, and modernize its fleet.
