A recycling initiative is turning plastic waste into income for families.
Re.Bag.Re.Use transforms clean, soft plastic into crocheted bags and pays women for each completed product.
The initiative, started by Regine le Roux during the COVID-19 lockdown in Hout Bay in the Western Cape, began as a small plastic-reuse hobby and is now expanding to more areas, reducing waste while supporting households across the country.
