Primary school learners in Soweto gain coding skills
Story 1
Learners at Hlakaniphani Primary School in Soweto are gaining digital, coding and problem-solving skills through a new coding and robotics club launched last week.
The club teaches children aged seven to 12 while training teachers to deliver lessons using iPads and Apple’s Everyone Can Code curriculum.
The, by Panarottis and iSchoolAfrica, programme helps learners develop logical thinking, collaboration, and an early understanding of how technology can solve real-world problems.
The school's principal, Shonisani Nengwekhulu, says the learners are excited, motivated and eager to learn, with many experiencing technology in this way, for the first time.
