Antony Wannell, Blessing Kambikiri and Anrico Quiens set off on 15 February and are cycling through towns including Hogsback, Katberg, Bedford, Adelaide, Makhanda and Kenton-on-Sea.
The initiative grew from Amariders’ work introducing cycling programmes at schools where learners lack basic attire.
By the end of the first week, the team will have covered about 500km, with Quiens aiming to complete the full 1,000km by the end of February.
