SuperSport Park has celebrated 40 years as one of South Africa’s most recognisable cricket venues.
Former players, administrators and cricket officials gathered for a gala dinner to share memories of the stadium and its role in South African cricket.
The celebrations also honoured the people who helped build the stadium and shape its history.
The Titans have enjoyed major success at the venue, winning 22 domestic trophies since 2004.

Children in Durban are being given an opportunity to learn water safety and lifesaving skills through the Nippers programme at Pirates Surf Lifesaving Club.
The programme caters for children aged five to 14 and focuses on building confidence, teamwork, fitness and basic rescue skills, with the aim of developing future lifeguards.
The club will hold an Open Day on 30 August for families interested in learning more about the programme.

Omnia Group employees have donated food and baby essentials to vulnerable mothers and newborns at Witkoppen Clinic in Fourways.
The donations will support families enrolled in the clinic’s Fresh Start programme, which provides care and support to vulnerable children and their families.
Volunteers distributed food to mothers attending the clinic and handed over hampers containing essential items for babies.
The clinic says the donations will help ease the burden on families facing financial and food insecurity.
