Eskom Launches Renewable Programme

Eskom has launched its first renewable energy program, seeking proposals for solar power from its own sites.
The power utility invites large power users to buy 291 MW of solar power through long-term agreements as part of its plan to increase renewables to 32 GW by 2040.
This comes as Eskom continues to develop a balanced energy mix, comprising coal, nuclear, gas, renewables, and energy storage solutions.
Spokesperson, Daphne Mokwena, says the programme demonstrates their commitment to innovation and building a cleaner, more resilient energy future:

The organisation's founder Tumi Mthembu says the event provides a space for women to share their stories and forge deep connections.

UJ Makes It To Top 200 Universities On Facebook

The university has risen from 61st globally in 2024 to 52nd this year.
The university’s Social Media and Marketing Projects Manager, Michelle Radikariki, says the rise in the uniRank rankings demonstrates how digital platforms can be used strategically to broaden influence and strengthen connections with communities both locally and internationally.
