Airlink Donates Jet to Support Aviation Skills Training

Airlink has donated a decommissioned passenger jet to Rhodesfield Engineering School of Specialisation in Kempton Park.
The airline will also fund the 2-year deployment of two newly-qualified aircraft maintenance technicians to the school as trainers on the aircraft.
The aircraft will provide learners with hands-on aviation training experience at the school.
Gauteng Education MEC, Matome Chiloane, officially hand over the 135 passenger jet to the school yesterday:

The Santa Shoebox Project is calling on South Africans to help bring joy to underprivileged children and teens by donating shoeboxes filled with essentials and treats.
For nearly 20 years, the project has reached over 1.3 million children in South Africa and Namibia.
People can pledge a physical or virtual box, with drop-offs happening in late October and early November.
Pledges can be made from September 1 on www.santashoebox.org.za.
