Professional golfers led hands-on sessions where children practised techniques and learned skills on the course.
Young golfers from areas including Alexandra and Soweto attended through development programmes and were exposed to professional tournament conditions.
The Joburg Ladies Open teed off on Thursday and ran until yesterday.

Three gold awards went to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company, Traditional African Homestays Southern Africa, and the V and A Waterfront Academy for their impact in local procurement, community income, and job creation.
Two silver awards were awarded to the Graskop Gorge Lift Company for its low-impact access system and Unexplored Cape Town for inclusive food tourism.
The Cape Tourist Guides Association was named a One to Watch for its work in diversifying the tourism sector.
