Table View youth home wall sends message of belonging and love
Story 2
A wall belonging to a home for youth in need in Table View now carries a powerful message that reads “you belong here.”
Isibindi Initiatives has painted the boundary wall of its Table View home, turning a once plain surface into a colourful mural created with help from the community.
The artwork includes the message “We love you just as you are,” reflecting the organisation’s focus on inclusion, diversity and unconditional support for young people.
Isibindi Initiatives says the wall is a visible reminder of its mission to create safe spaces for children and youth who need a sense of belonging. The organisation runs homes in Table View, Ysterplaat and Stellenbosch.
It says the project ensures that even before stepping inside, young people are met with a message of care, acceptance and love.
