Santa Shoebox Pledges Open Nationwide

Pledges have opened for this year’s Santa Shoebox Project, with the children’s charity aiming to deliver shoeboxes to more than 80-thousand children across South Africa.
People can pledge a box for a specific child, with each shoebox containing toiletries, new clothing, school supplies, a toy and sweets.
Those who cannot pack a box can also make a monetary donation to support the project.

Volkswagen Funds New Maths, Science School

As part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, Volkswagen is funding a new mathematics and science school in Kariega, in the Eastern Cape.
The school, built in partnership with LEAP Science and Mathematics Schools, is the first of its kind in the province.

YouMatterWalk Set for 12 September

The YouMatterWalk will take place on Saturday, 12 September, at The Big Red Barn in Olifantsfontein, south-east of Johannesburg.
The annual walk aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention and encourage people to speak openly about mental health.
Participants can choose between 2.5, 5 or 10-kilometre routes.
