Czech schools to offer free menstrual products
Story 3
All schools in the Czech Republic will be required to provide free menstrual products in toilets accessible to female students aged nine and older starting January 2026.
The initiative aims to fight period poverty and ensure that no student has to leave school or rely on improvised solutions during menstruation.
The policy follows advocacy from student representatives and civil society organisations and is expected to cost about CZK 120 million annually.
Officials say the measure will improve hygiene access, support equality, and promote the well-being of schoolgirls nationwide.
