Participants could also build relationships through a 7.5 kilometre hike, while senior citizens took part in a shorter 2 kilometre route.

Ghana Turns Plastic Waste Into School Desks

Ghanaian innovator Makafui Awuku is giving recycled plastic a new purpose by turning it into durable desks for schools through his organisation, Mckingtorch Africa.
The plastic is collected, processed and transformed into desks designed to last for more than 30 years, while also creating jobs in the recycling sector.
The project has already supplied desks to schools in several regions of Ghana.
