Johannesburg to host star-studded Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards

The 13th Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards will take place at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.

Sabastian Sawe breaks two-hour record at London Marathon

Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe has become the first man to run an official, competitive marathon in under two hours, after winning the London Marathon in 1:59:30.

Sawe completed the 26.2-mile course beating the previous world record, which was held by the late athlete Kelvin Kiptum, who finished the Chicago Marathon in 2:00:35.

The 31-year-old's breakthrough moment represents years of discipline, resilience and peak physical conditioning.

The next edition of the race is scheduled to take place on the 25th of April next year.
