The club remains focused on creating a competitive environment that serves both rising and established players across multiple categories.

Award-winning British actress Cynthia Erivo is set to portray South African music icon Miriam Makeba in the upcoming musical drama The Road Home.

The production, which will be filmed in Cape Town, aims to explore the powerful role of music during South Africa’s liberation struggle.

Erivo has described the role as a significant responsibility, expressing her commitment to honouring Makeba’s legacy.

The film will also feature renowned South African , trumpeter and composer Hugh Masekela, which will be portrayed by South African actor and film producer Thabo Rametsi.

The project which is expected to begin filming in June.

Sabastian Sawe breaks two-hour record at London Marathon

Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe has become the first man to run an official, competitive marathon in under two hours, after winning the London Marathon in 1:59:30.

Sawe completed the 26.2-mile course beating the previous world record, which was held by the late athlete Kelvin Kiptum, who finished the Chicago Marathon in 2:00:35.

The 31-year-old's breakthrough moment represents years of discipline, resilience and peak physical conditioning.

The next edition of the race is scheduled to take place on the 25th of April next year.
