Classic Car Enthusiasts Parade For Terminally Ill Colorado Man
Teaser / Tailpiece story
An 80-year-old Colorado man received a final car show outside his home after community members responded to a social media request from his granddaughter.
Max Archuleta, a lifelong fan of vintage vehicles, is no longer able to attend events after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. His granddaughter, Annaliesse Garcia, asked local car owners to drive past his Lakewood home as a surprise.
Instead of a small turnout, around 50 classic cars arrived, including a 1951 Ford Shoebox, with drivers waving, honking and displaying flags as they passed his house.
Archuleta said he was overwhelmed by the gesture, thanking those who took part in the parade organised in his honour.
