Beverly Sefuralo, marketing manager at the centre, said the event aimed to encourage wellness while bringing the community together. Local small businesses also joined, showcasing products at free stalls for attendees.

Vodacom Foundation Rolls Out R1.5 Million School of Excellence in Komani

The Vodacom Foundation has launched a R1.5 million School of Excellence at Lavelilanga Secondary School in Komani.
The investment over the next 12 months will fund upgrades to digital infrastructure, a refurbished computer centre, improved security and sanitation, as well as reliable connectivity.
The project also includes the deployment of two ICT coordinators and psychosocial support staff to assist learners and teachers.
The initiative is funded in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Education and forms part of Vodacom’s Educational Ecosystem introduced in 2019.

Founded in 1991, the company distributes its products to thousands of retail outlets across the United States and continues to integrate supported workers into its operations.
