Rand Water to wrap up the first phase of its maintenance

Water tankers have been dispatched to areas that are affected by Rand Water’s ongoing maintenance programme in Gauteng.
The utility began its scheduled infrastructure work across several municipalities last week, with operations expected to continue through to July.
The critical 107-hour infrastructure maintenance project aims to connect new water supply systems and boost reliability across key parts in the Gauteng Province.
Rand Water's Chief Operations Officer Mahlomola Mehlo says the utily is commissioning new infrastructure that will bring an additional 600 million liters of water into the system.
The City of Johannesburg's Sandton, Alexandra Park, South Hills, Linksfield, and Midrand pumping systems, will alsi be impacted.
