As South Africa marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Youth Uprising, Absa has launched a new fund to help young entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses.
The Absa Youth Entrepreneurship Fund will provide grant funding that does not need to be repaid, along with mentorship, business support and access to markets.
The 12 month programme will be delivered in partnership with the Tshiamo Foundation and is designed to help young entrepreneurs overcome barriers to funding and grow businesses that can create jobs and support economic growth.

South Africa will host a round of the FIM Motocross World Championship for the first time in 18 years when the world's top riders compete in Johannesburg this weekend.
The event takes place at Terra Topia on 4 and 5 July and forms part of the international MXGP calendar. It will see leading international riders compete alongside South African talent, with organisers hoping to re establish the country as a regular stop on the world championship circuit.
The weekend will also feature fan zones, food stalls and family entertainment alongside the racing.
