Twelve township rugby clubs from areas including Soweto, Alexandra, Orange Farm and Kagiso competed in a full-day knockout tournament.

Teen swims for a cause
Story 3
Grade 9 learner Slade Davey is preparing to swim the Midmar Mile this month to raise R5,000 for The Bright Eyes Trust in Durban.
The trust supports blind and visually impaired children through a preschool, homeschooling programme, and classes from Grade R to Grade 2, as well as after-school activities like adapted maths, cooking, karate, and family support.
It also offers free eye screenings, a feeding scheme, epilepsy support programmes, and tactile art classes for visually impaired learners.
Slade hopes his swim will raise funds and awareness to help more children access these vital services.
