Soweto entrepreneur Hlumelo Nyaluza is putting African creativity on the global stage through his luxury brand, HN Luxury, and its parent company, HN Imaginations Mall.
In just three months, he grew the company by R2.5 million by adding new handbags and launching two innovative products—a new African-inspired food and a special solution to tackle water and electricity problems
Nyaluza reinvests all company funds to expand operations and strengthen investor partnerships.
He plans to launch African-designed products globally and create a platform to support African entrepreneurs, driving innovation and wealth creation:

South African children's education brand, Hero in my Hood, is helping reduce animal overpopulation in the country by creating educational posters and activity books that promote pet sterilisation.
Working with experts and the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, the organisation produced brochures and posters that explain responsible pet ownership to children and adults.
The material is distributed through schools, rescue organisations, and community groups to support ongoing sterilisation drives.
By educating families and encouraging action, the initiative helps shelters manage intake numbers and protects the welfare of dogs and cats nationwide.

Woodhurst Public Library in Durban has won the 19th EIFL Public Library Innovation Award for its STEM Makers programme.
Between 2023 and 2025, the library ran coding and robotics workshops with nine branch libraries, reaching 450 learners from under-resourced communities.
The programme uses tablets, laptops, and low-cost recyclable materials to teach digital and problem-solving skills.
According to the Good Things Guy, through partnerships with UKZN, Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, and Tangible Africa, the library expanded access to STEM education, with participating learners showing improved academic performance and stronger problem-solving skills.
