DR Congo declares latest Ebola outbreak over

The National Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo have declared the latest Ebola outbreak over.
Health Minister Samuel-Roger Kamba and INSP head Dieudonné Mwamba Kazadi said all signs indicate the chain of transmission has been broken.
The outbreak, which began in August in a remote area of Kasai province, faced challenges including harsh weather, limited roads, and scarce access to services.
Following 53 confirmed cases and at least 34 deaths, the response included a vaccination campaign supported by the World Health Organization, Africa CDC, Doctors Without Borders, and the International Coordinating Group on Vaccine Provision
