The event at Peter Pan Park included fitness activities, charity stalls and community participation, with proceeds going towards Child Welfare SA Edenvale and Bedfordview.
Organisers say the fundraiser brought together residents, businesses and organisations to raise funds that will support children and families in need.

Oprah Winfrey is expanding her investment in girls' education by launching a nationwide scholarship programme that will support academically talented learners at leading schools across South Africa.
The move comes as the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls prepares to close its residential campus at the end of the 2027 academic year.
Current pupils will complete their education with full academic, financial and personal support. Oprah says the new scholarship programme will allow even more young women to access quality education and reach their full potential.

Maths and Science support expanded to younger learners

The Primestars eduCate Maths and Science Revision Programme is being expanded to include Grade 10 and Grade 11 learners to help more pupils stay in these subjects until Matric.
Deputy Higher Education and Training Minister Nomusa Dube Ncube says the programme will now support learners earlier with revision lessons, study material and career guidance before they decide to drop Mathematics or Physical Sciences.
She says the aim is to keep more learners on the path to careers in science, engineering and technology. The programme has been shown to improve learners' marks by an average of at least 10 per cent.
