The Africa Aerospace and Defence Expo is taking place at the Air Force Base in Waterkloof in the City of Tshwane.
The bi-annual event includes a three-day trade exhibition exclusively for defence and aerospace professionals, followed by a two-day public air show.

As in previous years, the expo will feature a dedicated Youth Development Programme to engage students and graduates with aerospace and defence industries.
More than 300 local and international exhibitors are expected to take part in the expo, with delegations from over 50 countries expected to attend.

The City of Tshwane's Emergency Services Department, in partnership with the Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority and Ithuba Recruitment, is conducting the selection process for its Emergency Services Learnership Programme this month.

The programme aims to equip young people with valuable skills while introducing them to firefighting as a potential career path.
Prospective candidates will undergo several assessments, including a 2.4-kilometre fitness run, a candidate physical ability test and interviews.

Squash South Africa has announced that the national men's and women's teams will be heading to South Korea later this year, for the World Squash Federation World Team Championships.
The event offers a chance for the nation's elite players to compete against the very best in the world.

Squash SA president Blaar Coetzee explained that sending the teams to South Korea is part of a bigger plan to rebuild South Africa's global standing in the sport.
He says the federation hopes to develop athletes who can eventually win Olympic medals, by creating clear pathways and giving players regular international exposure.
