McDonald’s South Africa and the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority, have announced the recruitment of more than 2000 young people, through a new Hospitality Learnership Programme.

The initiative, aims to provide practical skills and workplace experience amid South Africa's high youth unemployment.

The 12-month accredited training program combines formal classroom theory with practical, on-the-job training in restaurants.

The Run for Rangers initiative has raised more than 549-thousand-rand to support conservation and anti-poaching efforts in KwaZulu-Natal.
This year’s event attracted its biggest field to date, with 22 runners, including participants from the United States and China.

The proceeds will go towards equipment and training for rangers, strengthening the fight against wildlife crime and establish new facilities for a K9 anti-poaching unit.

Prospective candidates will undergo several assessments, including a 2.4-kilometre fitness run, a candidate physical ability test and interviews.
