The South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind has kicked off its Shades Day 2025 campaign with a powerful launch event, "Around the World in 4 Senses."
The event allowed guests to experience life without sight through a blindfolded walk, engaging their senses of taste, smell, touch, and hearing.
On October 17, South Africans are encouraged to wear their coolest sunglasses and show support by purchasing a R20 Shades Day sticker, which funds critical programmes for people with visual impairments.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about protecting eyes from UV rays and support Sagda's life-changing work.
