Metanoeo Gemeenskapskerk in Hercules, Pretoria has partnered with Steelwings MC South Africa to host a community outreach initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable families and individuals with essential donations.
The event, organised through the church’s #HelpMyDra# initiative, brought together church members, volunteers and bikers in a drive that collected food, clothing, blankets and toiletries for distribution to those in need.
Organisers say the outreach showed how community partnerships can help support residents in need.

A group of cyclists has raised more than R300 000 for charity after completing a 700 kilometre ride from Johannesburg to Durban over five days.
The annual Envestpro Changing Lives Foundation challenge took riders through parts of the Free State and the Golden Gate Highlands, with participants describing the journey as a demanding but rewarding experience. Funds raised will support a range of causes, including medical care, animal welfare and families in need.
Organisers say some riders only began cycling a few months before taking on the challenge, with each participant riding in support of a personal cause close to their heart.

Several South African musicians and cultural figures arebeing honoured by President Cyril Ramaphosa at the National Orders Investiture Ceremony taking place today in Pretoria.
The Order of Ikhamanga will recognise contributions to the arts, culture, music and journalism, with recipients including flautist and composer Wouter Kellerman, singer and guitarist Jonathan Butler, kwaito producer Oskido, and the late jazz legends Johnny Dyani, Kippie Moeketsi and Todd Matshikiza.
The awards celebrate individuals whose work has shaped South African music and cultural identity.

A phone number mix up in the San Francisco Bay Area has led to an unexpected friendship between 29 year old Lauren Stevens and 82 year old veteran photographer Wernher Krutein.
Lauren began receiving messages meant for someone known as Verndawg and later discovered the number belonged to Krutein, who has spent more than six decades travelling the world with his camera.
After the two connected, their friendship developed quickly and has grown into Lauren helping to raise funds to support his ongoing work and personal needs.
