Gauteng Social Development MEC Faith Mazibuko today launched the Vuka Development Centre in Rockville, Soweto, as part of Youth Month activities.
The new multi-purpose facility is aimed at tackling youth unemployment and poverty by offering skills development, entrepreneurship support, social services, and career guidance.
MEC Mazibuko said the centre will bridge the gap between training and job opportunities, providing young people with tools to build better futures.
The launch was held at 820 Buthelezi Street, with community members and stakeholders welcoming the initiative as a vital boost for youth empowerment in the area.
