Story 1
The Dis-Chem Ride for Sight returns to Boksburg City Stadium on 15 February, marking its 37th year.
The event is organised by a team led by visually-impaired people and is among the few large cycling events in South Africa and internationally run by people living with vision loss.
Proceeds go to Retina South Africa, which supports people with retinal conditions and funds research.
Cyclists can take part in a 116-kilometre race, a 62-kilometre ride or a 10-kilometre fun ride, all with para-cycling categories.
Organisers say participation has grown in recent years and expect higher numbers this year.

NASA’s Artemis 2 Set for First Crewed Moon Mission in Over 50 Years
Teaser / Tailpiece story
NASA has rolled out its Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft to Launch Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The move marks the start of final preparations for the Artemis 2 mission, the first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years.
The rocket and spacecraft were slowly moved 6.5 kilometres from the Vehicle Assembly Building, a process that took nearly 12 hours.
If all tests are successful, three Americans and one Canadian will fly around the Moon between February and April.
The mission is expected to last about 10 days and is a key step towards returning humans to the lunar surface.
Artemis 2 follows the uncrewed Artemis 1 mission in 2022 and is part of NASA’s long-term plan to use the Moon to prepare for future Mars missions.
