Ward 98 councillor Beverley Jacobs joined forces with the Beagle Watch environmental team to restore the Windsor East swimming pool, which had been overrun by weeds and grass.
The clean-up made the facility accessible to residents again and improved the surrounding area.
Jacobs said the partnership with Beagle Watch allowed the work to be completed efficiently and showcased what can be achieved when the community and organisations work together.

South African author Dorothy de Kok has won the prestigious L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest.
Her story will be published in the international anthology, Writers of the Future Volume 42, and she will travel to Hollywood for a week-long masterclass and the awards event on 16 April 2026.
Dorothy began writing at the age of twelve and has drawn on her experience as a teacher, editor, and community worker to inspire her fiction.
Her winning story, Thickly, explores the pressures women face to transform themselves in order to be seen.
The Writers of the Future Contest is now in its 43rd year and has helped launch the careers of many aspiring writers and illustrators worldwide.

Tshepo Makole Foundation provides food relief in Dube
The Tshepo Makole Youth Empowerment Foundation donated food parcels to vulnerable families and community members in Dube who struggle to access basic food supplies.
The initiative focused on households reliant on social relief grants or handouts, ensuring support reached those most in need.
Project manager Tshepo Makole said beneficiaries were identified through careful assessments of family circumstances and need.
The foundation plans to continue the programme and encourages further participation from the community, private sector, and other stakeholders.
