The donation, made in partnership with Adcock Ingram, will support victims of abuse and bring festive cheer.
The pharmacy, with six locations across three provinces, regularly contributes to community initiatives, including school drives and charity collections.
Plans are also underway for a donation day in Magaliesburg and further involvement with local schools and old age homes in the new year.

Youth Employment Service reaches 200,000 work opportunities

The Youth Employment Service (YES) has reported that it has created more than 200,000 work opportunities for young South Africans. Since 2021, the programme has expanded at an annual rate of over 30%, with more than 1,900 businesses participating and R12.5 billion paid in youth salaries.
YES focuses on digital and technological skills, partnering with companies including Microsoft to provide certification for 50,000 participants. According to the programme, 74% of participants come from households receiving social grants, helping roughly 44,000 households rise above poverty thresholds.

Australian zoo launches 1,234-hectare rewilding project to boost conservation

Taronga Zoo Conservation Society in New South Wales is rewilding 1,234 hectares of farmland, a move expected to strengthen conservation efforts and restore native habitats.
The project will plant Box-Gum trees and reintroduce species like platypus, koalas, spotted quolls, and the endangered regent honeyeater.
Experts will monitor wildlife and manage invasive predators to help the ecosystem recover naturally.
This is TZCS’s first large-scale landscape rewilding, building on its experience breeding and releasing thousands of native animals.
