Winning Sony Photos On Display in Johannesburg

A selection of winning images from the Sony World Photography Awards is now on display at the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography in Forest Town, Johannesburg.
The exhibition, Decisive Moment: Sony World Photography Awards, features work from the 2024, 2025 and 2026 competitions across documentary, portraiture, wildlife, sport, landscape and creative photography.
A concurrent exhibition, New Eyes: The Roger Ballen Centre Photography Award, showcases work by South African photographers D.M. Terblanche, Zwelibanzi Zwane and Karabo Mooki.
Together, the exhibitions bring international award-winning photography and emerging South African talent to Johannesburg.

Black Coffee Foundation Expands Learner Health Programme

The Black Coffee Foundation is taking its expanded learner health programme to schools across South Africa, following a pilot in Alexandra, Gauteng.
The programme, Gift of Sight by Black Coffee, has added dental assessments to its existing eye screenings and vision tests.
Learners at Zenzeleni Primary School received the combined services last month.
The foundation says the national rollout will help identify health problems early and give more learners access to essential care.
