City Power honours young Innovators
The City of Johannesburg’s energy utility, City Power, hosted the Schools Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management Awards ceremony at City Power's headquarters in Johannesburg.
The awards follow the Energy Efficiency Schools competition, which galvanised pupils to engage actively in the dynamic world of energy efficiency and renewable resources.

Rhodes University will officially name its iconic Law Building in honour of one of its most distinguished alumni and outgoing Chancellor Justice Lex Mpati, in celebration of the University's 120th anniversary, marking more than a century of unparalleled academic excellence and profound contributions to the South African legal landscape.

Mpati, who has served as Chancellor for 13 years, says he is proud of the transformation journey he has witnessed at the university.

Kimberley Skaters to represent Africa at Grand Skate Tour
Two skaters from Kimberley in the Northern Cape will take part in an international skating competition in Russia.

The Grand Skate tour will bring together some of the best skaters from across the globe, offering the duo a unique opportunity to not only test their skills against elite athletes, but also to proudly represent both South Africa and the African continent in a space where the continent is often underrepresented.
The pair will compete in the street skateboarding category, a fast paced and highly technical style that demands creativity, precision and confidence.
