Shout-It-Now says it plans to take the programme to more communities with support from schools, NGOs, government and businesses.

Mothers in Kliptown, Soweto, are learning to crochet and make handmade goods they can sell to support their families.
The women are taking part in knitting and crocheting workshops run by Hamba Bamba Funda, with five workshops completed so far.
The group recently received a donation of wool to continue making their handmade products.
The women are preparing to sell their handmade items at a Market Day on 11 October.

Cape Town Hotel Makes Global Top 50

Cape Town’s Mount Nelson Hotel has been ranked 34th in The World’s 50 Best Hotels for 2026.
Known locally as the Pink Lady, it is the only South African hotel on this year’s list and one of two African hotels to make the ranking.
The results were announced at an awards ceremony in Paris, with more than 800 voters from the hotel and travel industries taking part.
South African-born hotelier James McBride also received the SevenRooms Icon Award for his contribution to international hospitality.
