The awards, held on September 2, recognised young entrepreneurs behind some of the country’s emerging brands.
More than 2,000 entries were received before the finalists were narrowed down to the Top 16.
Founder Pat Mahlangu says the awards aim to give young entrepreneurs recognition for the businesses they are building.

A new 2027 cat calendar is raising money to support Durban’s feral cats.
Produced by Compass Cares and St Francis Carers of Abandoned and Abused Cats, the calendar features stories of rescued cats and supports organisations caring for them.
Money raised from sales will go towards feeding and sterilising feral cats across Durban.
The organisations say St Francis alone feeds and cares for more than 100 cats each day.

South Africa’s first national padel championship will take place in Cape Town next month.
The Growthpoint SA National Padel Championship will bring the country’s top players together, with age-group events running from October 9 to 11 and the Open Division from October 16 to 18.
Players will compete for the first official national titles and a share of 125-thousand rand in prize money.
The tournament marks the first time South Africa will crown national champions in padel.
