Gauteng NPOs Invited To Apply For Three Year Funding

The Gauteng Department of Social Development has invited qualifying non profit organisations to apply for funding for the 2027/28 to 2029/30 financial years.
The funding will support programmes including services for families, people with disabilities, older persons, youth development, skills training, community nutrition and substance abuse prevention.
Applications close on 30 September at midnight, with late or incomplete submissions not being considered.

Young Scientists To Showcase Research At National Expo

Young scientists from across South Africa will showcase their research at the 2026 Eskom Expo for Young Scientists International Science Fair in Ekurhuleni.
The event will bring together 316 learners from all nine provinces, along with 24 international participants, from 29 September to 2 October.
Projects will cover areas including health, education, artificial intelligence, machine learning and solutions for people with disabilities.

Gauteng Legislature Donates Books To Ezibeleni School

The Gauteng Legislature’s Education Portfolio Committee donated 94 books to Ezibeleni School for Physically Disabled Children as part of Literacy Month.
The books cover topics including disability, identity, personal development and inclusion, with additional books expected once an outstanding order is finalised.
The donation will strengthen the school’s library and give learners more reading material suited to different curricula.
