The Life Green Group Foundation, which promotes sustainable gardening and environmental awareness in communities and schools, guided the children through water-wise planting, choosing low-water-use plants, and other eco-friendly practices.
By learning these practical skills, the children left the session not just with knowledge, but with a growing love for caring for the environment and a sense that even small actions can make a big difference.

Heart in Hands packs 80 blessing bags for seniors

The Heart in Hands Food Bank team packed 80 blessing bags for seniors supported by Twinkle Star Foundation in Kwazulu Natal, providing meals and essential treats to improve their wellbeing.
Volunteers prepared the bags earlier this month, at the Khwezi Skills Development Training Room, and delivered the hampers, ensuring the seniors had nutritious food and felt connected to their community.
Two young volunteers from Creston College also packed 150 treat packages for seniors at The Elders Voice KZN, helping them enjoy snacks and feel cared for by their community.
Packing and delivering these packages gave seniors food, treats, and a sense of care and connection from their community.
