Some of South Africa’s most respected rugby figures are gathering in Gqeberha this evening for the Madibaz Rugby Club’s Past to Present fundraising dinner.
The event is bringing together former Springboks, coaches, administrators and current members of the national setup to share stories from their careers and reflect on the values that have shaped South African rugby.
Rugby World Cup winner Steven Kitshoff is among those expected to take part in panel discussions focusing on leadership, teamwork, resilience and national pride.
The dinner comes ahead of the Springboks’ clash against the Barbarians and aims to raise funds for Madibaz Rugby Club development programmes, helping create opportunities for future players.

The Masechaba Foundation in Weltevreden Park has launched a school shoe donation campaign aimed at supporting 120 learners at Princess Primary School.
The initiative focuses on assisting children from underprivileged families by providing properly fitted school shoes through a locally produced supply partnership.
The foundation says it is appealing for financial contributions from individuals and businesses to help reach its target, with each donation contributing towards shoes manufactured at a reduced cost.
It adds that the programme is intended to grow into a longer term partnership with the school to support vulnerable learners.
