Local NGO Heartlines has launched the "Father's matter" campaign, aimed at giving support and guidance to fathers. Heartlines says it hopes to see 5 million men and society at large, getting involved in the biggest campaign of its kind in Africa, which aims to encourage fathers and men to be a part of a movement that spearheads positive involvement in the lives of children. A new mobile app called Bazinga Biz is set to help young South Africans learn business skills in a fun and interactive way. The app was launched by the Empire Partner Foundation and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority to fight youth unemployment and support future entrepreneurs. Bazinga Biz is a game-like learning platform that teaches business through quests, simulations, and challenges—no classrooms or textbooks needed. The app allows young people to learn anytime, anywhere, using just their phones. CEO of the Empire Partner Foundation Joanna Govender says Bazinga Biz is a powerful digital tool designed to uplift entrepreneurs. With many young people struggling to find jobs, the app offers a free and practical way to gain real-world business knowledge.

Three original sketches by renowned author Roald Dahl will be auctioned today at Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh. These rare drawings, created for his 1984 memoir Boy: Tales of Childhood, are believed to be the only known book illustrations Dahl ever produced. They were discovered in an envelope labelled “Dahl’s drawings & odds and sods” and are expected to sell for between 20,000 and 30,000 pounds. One of the sketches depicts a dead mouse lying on top of gobstoppers, referencing a mischievous childhood prank described in the book. Dahl died in 1990 at age 74, wrote many beloved stories, but no other illustrations by him are known to exist.
