The Connie Chiume International Youth Film Festival will take place from today to the 20th of July at the Sibikwa Arts Centre in Benoni.
The festival aims to honor the late actress Connie Chiume's legacy while providing opportunities for emerging African filmmakers.
At the event there will be screenings, workshops, awards, and cultural activations, showcasing films on themes such as mental health, gender equality, and social inclusion.
A special tribute will be paid to Chiume through the screening of the classic film "What Did You Dream?" and the Connie Chiume Memorial Lecture.
