The Annual Mandela Day packing event will take place at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg today, celebrating service and solidarity, in honour of Nelson Mandela's enduring legacy of compassion, service, and community empowerment.

Thousands of volunteers will gather at the Expo Centre for the highly anticipated event.

The impactful initiative, hosted in celebration of International Mandela Day will bring together corporate teams, civil society organizations', schools, government representatives and everyday South Africans, with the goal to combat hunger and uplift underserved communities, by packing essential food items, which will then be distributed to FoodForward SA's extensive network of 2,750 beneficiary organizations' across South Africa, reaching nearly 1 million people in need.
