City Power's Meter Audits

City Power has begun its meter audits across various areas including Hursthill, Randburg, Roodepoort and Reuven.
The audits, which will run until August 31 seeks to ensure that all customers are properly metered and paying for the electricity they use.
The audits will involve checking meters, fixing faults, and verifying that customers are paying for their electricity consumption.
City Power is urging customers to cooperate with the meter audits to ensure a smooth process adding that refusing an audit could lead to disconnection a fine of R14,000, and additional reconnection fees.
Spokesperson, Isaac Mangena says if residents are unavailable, our technicians will leave a ‘No Access’ letter by the customer’s premises with the company name and contact details.

Netflix Uses AI To Create Visual Effects

Netflix has used generative artificial intelligence to create visual effects in one of its original TV shows for the first time.
This was used to create a scene of a building collapsing in the Argentine science fiction show, The Eternauts.
The streaming giant's co-chief executive Ted Sarandos says the AI technology helped the production team complete scenes faster and at a lower cost.
This comes as Netflix reports a 16% rise in revenue to $11 billion for the quarter ending in June.
