South Africa’s homegrown coding initiative, Tangible, has reached over 350,000 learners worldwide and has now been accepted into the international UNICEF-led Learning Cabinet. The Learning Cabinet highlights education tools that are proven safe and effective, across diverse classrooms and cultures. Developed by the University of Pretoria’s Department of Computing Sciences and implemented globally by the Leva Foundation, Tangible teaches problem-solving and computational thinking through simple games—both digital and offline. This makes it accessible even where technology is limited.

Teenage sprint sensation Bayanda Walaza is set to make his first-ever indoor appearance at the World Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Madrid on the 6th February.
