Rabie Ridge Residents Join Free City Aerobics Session
Story 1
Over 100 locals turned out at Rabie Ridge Stadium on February 7 for a free aerobics session organised by the City of Johannesburg’s Region A sports and recreation programme. Children and adults joined in the lively workout before cooling off with a swim at the local pool.
The session is part of the city’s ongoing Region A aerobics calendar, now in its third bi-monthly event following earlier sessions at Busy Corner Mall on January 17 and Diepsloot Mall on January 24. Local aerobics groups lead the workouts, ensuring everyone feels welcome, regardless of age or experience.
Mandla Mahlangu, assistant director for sports and recreation in Region A, says the programme promotes healthy living and community connection, and participation by residents keeps it sustainable. Upcoming sessions are scheduled at Ya Rona Mall on February 21 and Mayibuye Primary School on March 7.
