35 children complete five-day Drama Lab

Thirty-five children aged seven to 11 completed a five-day Drama Lab at Rivonia Recreation Club in Paulshof last week, where they created and staged a mini-production.
The inaugural holiday programme trained participants in acting, movement, and teamwork through daily rehearsals led by the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy Johannesburg North West.
The children performed a festive production, How Rudolph the Very Clever Reindeer Saved Christmas Day, for parents and families last Friday.
Due to strong community participation, the academy added an additional facilitator to provide individual guidance.
Following the programme, the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy confirmed plans to offer drama classes again in 2026.

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is celebrating a major milestone this week when it welcomed its 33-millionth visitor since operations began in 1929
Thabiso Letsoalo from Limpopo, who was visiting Cape Town with his partner Ofentse Huma, was surprised at the Lower Cable Station and officially named the 33-millionth guest to ride the cable car to the top.
The cableway has had its fair share of notable visitors over the years, including celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Sting, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Daniel Radcliffe, and Kelly Rowland.
Managing Director, Wahida Parker, says reaching 33 million visitors is incredible for the company, and welcoming both the 32 and 33 millionth visitors in the same year is truly remarkable.

FIFA has announced a new cut-price ticket category for the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.
The news comes after FIFA faced criticism from fan groups, who expressed their disappointment and frustration over the ticket prices, saying that they were unaffordable.
The world governing body changed its ticket prices, which were almost 500% higher than the 2022 Qatar tournament.
FIFA has now made available a number of supporter entry tier fixed tickets at around 1-thousand-rand for all 104 matches, including the final.
