Black Coffee Foundation Expands Learner Dental Care
Story 1
The Black Coffee Foundation is expanding its health programme to include dental care for learners.
The foundation’s Gift of Sight programme has provided eye testing to thousands of learners across South Africa, and now combines vision screening with oral health assessments.
The latest programme was rolled out at Zenzeleni Primary in Alexandra last month, with healthcare partners providing eye and dental services.
The foundation says the expansion forms part of its wider goal of giving children early access to healthcare that can support their health and learning.
Its next step is to extend the combined eye and dental care programme to more learners and communities.
