The Nhlanhla Tshabalala Foundation is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a charity golf day and gala dinner in Soweto.
The fundraising event, taking place at Soweto Country Club on August 28, aims to provide 100 solar lights to matric learners from informal settlements and disadvantaged schools.
The solar lights will help learners study at night when they have limited access to electricity.
Businesses, golfers and other supporters are being invited to support the drive and help make a difference in the lives of young people.

Community generosity helps families and local organisations

Members of the Johannesburg community have come together to donate groceries and care packages to People4Purpose NPO, helping several local families who need support.
The response from donors was so generous that the organisation was able to share some of the extra supplies with other community groups doing work in the area.
Volunteers also spent their weekend collecting, packing and delivering the donations to make sure they reached the people and organisations they were intended for.
