Rosebank Mall has officially unveiled its cutting-edge smart energy infrastructure.
The new smart infrastructure features a 7.2MW power battery, a 4.5MW invertor and a dual fuel generator.
The mall's general manager Muhammed Varachia states that the mall's new smart energy infrastructure allows tenants to operate uninterrupted during power outages and help reduce strain on the national grid during peak hours.
At the same time UT Energy's Wally Weber says the project is a financially sound energy solution, not just an environmental initiative.

On September 19, South Africans are invited to don their brightest socks and show their support by purchasing a R20 "Socks for Smiles" sticker, available at participating major retailers as well as online.

Bangkok has been crowned the world's best city for Gen Z in 2025.
This is according to Time Out's survey of over 18,500 people under 30 worldwide
84-percent of participants said they are happy living in Bangkok, while 71-percent rated the Thai capital as budget-friendly.
Melbourne took second place with young locals rating the Australian hub’s art and cultural scene highly.
In third place is Cape Town, scored well for happiness, beauty, cheap nights out and being an exciting place to live.
