South Africa to Warm Up as Winter Ends, Says Weather Service
Story 2
As South Africa moves out of winter, temperatures are expected to rise across the country, with Gauteng warming up significantly by midweek.
Senior forecaster Tokelo Chiloane from the South African Weather Service said the Southern African meteorological winter will end by the end of August, making way for spring conditions and a gradual rise in temperatures.
While the coming week will be warmer than last, Chiloane noted that this shift is normal and that occasional cold spells could still occur.
However, any sudden drops in temperature are expected to be short-lived.
